OLIVE HILL, Ky. – Carter Caves State Resort Park invites you to step back in time when Native Americans and European colonists lived closer to nature.
The park’s Tracking and Woodslore Weekend, March 2-4, will allow guests to learn about the skills that were needed for survival in the wilderness. You’ll learn about animal tracking, hunting, nature, native plants and more.
The program begins Friday evening and will continue through Sunday morning. Both indoor and outdoor sessions are planned – including some hikes – so guests should bring appropriate clothing and shoes.
The cost of the program is $25 for adults and $15 for youths ages 15 and under. Carter Caves is offering overnight packages for two for $149.95 plus tax, which includes two nights’ lodging and the program. The campground will also be open as well as the park restaurant, Tierney’s Cavern.
For more information and reservations, call the park at 1-800-325-0059. For a list of the weekend’s activities, visithttp://winteradventureweekend.com/TrackingWoodsLoreFlyer.pdf
