Ada Lee New Chatterton

1929 - 2012

Ada Lee New Chatterton of Lavalette, WV was born Ada Lee Hammond in Hardy, Ky on July 24, 1929.  She died January 6, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Chatterton. 

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda New Wright of Huntington, WV, two grandsons, Jason Wright and Joshua Wright also of Huntington, WV, and two great-grandchildren, Karighan and Turner. In addition she is survived by three sisters, Wilma Setser and Rosa Lee Waters both of Phoenix, AZ and Georgina Galilei of Columbus, Ohio.   

She was retired from the State of West Virginia and has been employed part time by Southwestern Community Action. 

She resided in Louisa, Ky for many years and has been a member of the Louisa Chapter of the Eastern Star for over 50 years.  She is also a member of First Baptist Church of Louisa. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00p.m. Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel; burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington, WV. 

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home.  Friends may send condolences to the family at
