Wendell R. Hodge, age 65, of Fort Gay, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. 

Wendell was born November 10, 1946 in Naugatuck, WV. He is the son of the late Glenn and Stella (Bowen) Hodge.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Chaffin who died on Jan. 11, 2004.

He served in the United States Army. He was a retired Coal Miner.

He is survived by one daughter: Missy Bellomy of Louisa, KY and three sons: Greg Hodge of Fort Gay, WV, Kenny Hodge of Louisa, KY, Kevin Hodge of Louisa, KY;  three sisters Joyce Ann Varney, Wanda Sue Hodge, Cathy Hodge and five brothers: Butch Hodge, Ronnie Marcum, Ira Hodge, Michael Hodge, Donald Hodge;  son-in-law, Barry Bellomy; daughter-in-law, Stacy Hodge of Fort Gay, WV.

The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 21 at Webb Church Webb, WV with Rev. Richard Maynard officiating.  Burial will be in Webb Cemetery at Webb WV.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 20 from  6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home Louisa, KY.
