Fatal car crash claims life of one, two flown out...
The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office just released more information concerning the fatal car accident that claimed one life and injured two others yesterday evening at the intersection of Rt.1690 and Hwy. 645. In Lawrence County at Nats Creek.
(11/26/ 2013) Ms. Edwards is out of hospital and Jude is still in ICU.
Lawrence Co. Sheriff's latest report - Vehicle being driven by Kaitlyn Jude, 20, Inez, Ky and with passenger Hannah Tackett, 15 Johnson Co. was traveling South on Hwy 1690, Jude’s vehicle failed to stop for stop sign at the intersection of Hwy 1690 and Hwy 645 and while crossing Hwy 645 collided with a vehicle driven by Dorothy Edwards, 42, Blaine Ky. which was traveling East on Hwy 645. Both Jude and Tackett were not wearing a seat belt and were ejected from the vehicle. Tackett was pronounced deceased at the scene. Jude and Edwards were flown to Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Assisting at the scene was Lowmansville Fire Dept, Cherryville Fire Dept and Netcare Ambulance. The collision is still under investigation.

Lawrence Co. Coroner Mike Wilson confirmed that he pronounced the victim dead at 8:00 pm. at the scene.
UPDATE: (Friday, Nov. 22): The victim in the accident reported below has been unofficially identified as Hannah Tackett, 15, a freshman at Johnson Central High school. Hannah is the granddaughter of J R Frisby the Johnson County Coroner. Also involved were Katie Jude, who was a passenger in the car with Hannah Tackett. Dorothy Edwards (age and address unknown) was the driver of the second car. More details as we get them in.

'On November 21, 2013 at approxmately 6:10 pm the Lawrence County Sheriff's
Office responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 1690
and Hwy 645.
There were two females in one vehicle with one being flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital and one being pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other vehicle was driven by a female who was also flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital.
