June 21, 2016, play rained out
Last week, as you noticed, there was no report on the league results. The reason a downpour. It is up to the league members to play makeup rounds for this date. There will be no report for the June 21 date. Theses scores will be used for tallying members’ scores for final league results. In the future, the league will either cancel the date or extend the season’s end.
The course was in beautiful shape, and the greens are at their summer peak. Now is the time to experience Eagle Ridge golf at its best.
Tuesday was a was a beautiful day for golf, and my playing partner, James Chaffin, was on fire. James shot a net 30, but it should have been much better. A lost ball on number 7, a par 5, broke his rhythm. The sad part is he and I both saw his second shot land in the rough just short of the green. Yet neither of us could find the ball, The result was a bogey, double bogey finish to his round.
Golf is unusual. If you lose your concentration, you’re unable to recover. As for me, I am a good score keeper. That tells you how well I am playing.
