Animals trapped in Louisa house fire, neighbors say
A structure fire started on Cardinal Rd. at approximately 2:00 P.M today at an abandoned trailer previously owned by Matt and Becky Webb. The Louisa Volunteer Fire dept. and the LPD are still on the scene and the fire has been “mostly contained.”
The brush fire then quickly spreading on the hill behind it, and to other homes near the trailer. No one was inside but neighbors said two dogs were trapped and LFD officers were trying to save them. This was not confirmed by any official.
The fire is ongoing and officials at the scene could not be reached to find out about the animals.
We will keep up with this story and have another report as soon as possible this afternoon.
Other brush fires were being reported in different areas of Lawrence County while this firefight is ongoing.
