ARRESTS AT BACK AROUND NORMAL WEEKLY AVERAGE IN LAWRENCE COUNTY AND THE SURROUNDING AREA COUNTIES; MORE ARRESTS IN THE LAST FIVE DAYS THAN IN THE PREVIOUS EIGHT DAYS.
JAIL ARRESTS IN THE PAST FIVE DAYS HAVE ROSE UP SIGNIFICANTLY IN THE LAST DAY OF SEPTEMBER AND THE FIRST FOUR DAYS OF OCTOBER, THAN IN THE LAST SEVEN DAYS IN SEPTEMBER-UP TO THE FINAL DAY OF THE MONTH, IN LAWRENCE COUNTY AND THE NEIGHBORING COUNTIES THAT USE THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER. THE NUMBER OF ARRESTS IN THE AREA HAVE BEEN ABOUT AT OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE AVERAGE IN THE FEW DAYS WHEN COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS WEEKS DURING THE PAST FEW MONTHS THROUGH THE SUMMER.
From 12:01 A.M., September 30, 2016 to 11:59 P.M., October 4, 2016; 65 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky.
Out of the 65 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in this last 5 day period of September 30-October 4, 8 arrests were from Lawrence County.
For the month of September, 335 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 335 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in the month of June, 45 arrests were from Lawrence County.
From August 1 thru August 31; 395 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 395 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in the month of June, 67 arrests were from Lawrence County.
From July 1 thru July 30; 359 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 359 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in the month of June, 40 arrests were from Lawrence County.
The number of people booked each day from September 30 thru October 4 at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville was as the following: FRIDAY-SEPTEMBER 30: 21, SATURDAY-OCTOBER 1: SIX, SUNDAY-OCTOBER 2: 10, MONDAY-OCTOBER 3: 18, TUESDAY-OCTOBER 4: 10.

Sean J. See, 26, of Ashland, Kentucky; turned himself in September 30, 2016 at 10:48 A.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty plea jail sentence with: CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Sherece N. Baldwin, 26, of Louisa, was arrested on September 30, 2016, at 8:01 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UN;AWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500, • KNOW FRAUDULENTLY USE ID CARD OR ELECTRONIC CODE FOR BENEFITS.
Michael Newsome, 53, of Ulysses, Kentucky; was arrested on September 30, 2016, at 9:43 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • INADEQUATE SILENCER (MUFFLER).
Justin McCoy, 21, of Louisa, was arrested on October 1, 2016, at 10:24 P.M., by patrolman officer Jordan Miller of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE
Shelley M. Triplett, 32, of Louisa, was arrested on October , 2016, at 10:48 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING ON SUSPENDING OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (DRUG UNSPECIFIED).
Lewis H. Pinder, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on October 3, 2016, at 5:11 P.M., by deputy Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • NO OTHER STATE REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, • DRIVING DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE – 2ND OFFENSE.
Robert E. Clay, 53, of Louisa, turned himself in October 3, 2016 at 7:47 P.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a guilty plea jail sentence with: CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
