MARCH 01, 2016 — There was a delay in reporting of arrests in Lawrence county this week due eo a slow a slow period in the mid to latter part of February. There were nine people taken into custody from February 16th to the 23rd, mostly for individuals turning themselves in to serve “weekend sentences” from guilty pleas. From February 24th to February 29th, a total of 16 arrests were made.
Jason B. Clark, 33. of Otway, Ohio; turned himself in on February 16, 2016 at 5:03 P.M to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve jail time for: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
John M. Fitch, 36, of Louisa, was arrested February 16, 2016 at 7:03 P.M., by Sergeant Ed Cordle of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • SERVING TWO BENCH WARRANTS FOR COURT
Ashley Maynard, 26, of Louisa, was arrested February 19, 2016 at 11:26 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department,, and was charged with: • SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY), • 2 RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/$10,000.
Stephen R. Copley, 41, of Louisa, was arrested February 20, 2016 at 11:00 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department,, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE U/NDERINFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 2ND OFFENSE, • LEAVING SCENE OF ACCIDENT-FAILURE TO RENDER AID OR ASSISTANCE, • FAILURE TO REPORT TRAFFIC ACCIDENT.
Bethla F. Stump, 34, of Louisa was arrested February 21, 2016 at 10:19 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY).
Cole Frederick May, 32, of Louisa, turned himself in on February 22, 2016 at 2:54 P.M to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve jail time for: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
