Contruction crews building the new $1 million sewer system at Meadowbrook and Burg have lost 20 days of the 120 alloted for the project because of bad weather according to Louisa Public Works Superintendant Dave McGuire.

Judicial Building committee votes to purchase $600,000 in property

Members of the Judicial Building Committee voted unanimously to purchase three tracts of land from local entrepreneur Gene Wilson for a total of $600,000, exactly the amount the committee was allowed by the state to spend on the property, on which to build a $16.4 million Courts Building.
